Join or Renew Your Membership in the Houghton County Democratic Party
The Houghton County Democratic Party is made up of people like you. We rely on your participation and support. We welcome everyone who believes in the common good of all people, in individual freedom, and in the general principle that our generation should work toward making ours a better, freer, and safer country for the generations to come.
There are two ways to become a member of the Houghton County Dems - by becoming a member of the MI Dems, or by joining our local County Party. Read below for more info on which option might be right for you:

Anyone who lives in Houghton County who is a member of the Michigan Democratic Party is automatically also a member of the Houghton County Democratic Party. Membership in the Michigan Democratic Party is available at various levels (free up to $250 per month). By joining the MI Dems you not only automatically become a member of your local county party, but you are also helping to support candidates across the state and you have the privilege of voting at state convention.
If you join the MI Dems at the ‘Activist’ level ($25/year) or a higher, the Houghton County Dems will be allocated a portion of your membership payment.

You can join the county party directly only by paying membership dues on ActBlue. We offer memberships at various levels, depending on your circumstances. MDP rules provide that voting in all state Democratic organizations is available only to MDP members, so please note that this is a non-voting membership.
